Research

DIKT’s research focuses on the interaction between companies and the media. Headed by Dr. Nikolai Behr, the DIKT team analyzes current scenarios and their media effect as well as the correlation with possible changes in public opinion.

In doing so, Dr. Behr’s team primarily focuses on researching standardized processes and their mechanisms. In addition, they analyze innovative solutions and new possibilities in communications that can help to increase the effect of messages and to fully meet the demands of message receivers (media).

The findings of this research serve as the foundation of all training courses conducted by DIKT media trainers. Moreover, the research team also conducts frequent train-the-trainer sessions, in which media trainers are briefed on the most recent findings and research results. In in-house training courses, these approaches are detailed further and refined for their application in customer programs. This way, the research activities ensure that DIKT customers always receive training in keeping with the latest methods and media requirements.

The scientific expertise and the suitability of methods are regularly assessed by the DIKT’s supervisory board. This body also provides additional scientific and practical input to the DIKT team.

Step 1
Let us know what you need: the kind of future media appearances; your topics and industry; participants’ positions in the company; number of participants.

Step 2

We devise a customized offering in keeping with your inquiry, including a suggestion of the trainers most suitable to your topics as well as daily rates and potential costs for additional services, such as a camera man, a studio, etc.

Step 3
You select your preferred form of media training, establish the course duration (0.5 day, 1 day, 1.5 days, 2 days) and the number of participants.

Step 4
You give us a comprehensive briefing.

Step 5
Based on the briefing, we develop the specific content of the training course, research the public image of your company in the media as well as blogs and forums, and create interview questions just as a journalist would research and phrase them.

Step 6
We organize the course of the training and provide you with the agenda for a last check.

Step 7
The media training: First off, we jointly develop a terminology for your messages, and answers to possible questions. In a next step, we simulate interviews under realistic conditions. Instant feedback is provided via video analysis. Together, we work on optimizing your appearance.

Step 8
Following the media training, you have the perfect terminology at your disposal, have gained confidence thanks to the presentation practice, and can convince listeners with your authenticity and credibility in real-life interview situations.

Following the training course, we provide you with detailed feedback, which also includes suggestions for further improvement.

Step 10
The best way to ensure lasting success is a follow-up session one to six months after the initial media training. It allows you to determine how much you have incorporated what you have learned. Together, we review the real-life interview situations since the last training and work on some fine-tuning
